How to Bake Cookies for Santa is an Elementary Creative Writing Activity that is NO PREP (ready to print and use!) and it’s completely FREE!

A favorite Christmas childhood memory is making cookies, and for many students, it’s also leaving cookies out for Santa on Christmas Eve! The purpose of this writing activity is to allow your students to creatively explain how they would make cookies for Santa! This creative writing activity guides your students through the writing process with a brainstorming sheet and a template for the final draft. The brainstorming sheet gets them to think about what they will need to make the cookies and the steps they will take to make them. The final draft sheet gives students space to draw a picture, and write down how they would make cookies for Santa. These cookie “recipes” will be cherished for years to come!
