Design Your Own Home is a fun, project-based activity introducing students to architecture and home design.

In this activity, students will explore and design a digital floor plan for their dream home! They will be required to place specific objects and layout, but the rest is up to their own creativity!
Students in middle through high school can spend up to two 45-50 minute class periods working on this one assignment. You can extend the lesson depending on your students’ abilities.
This web-based activity presents the work as a fun, open-ended activity with certain goals to be made. It really lets those students shine with their interests and preferences.
This is the first of a series of fun and engaging technology lessons. I hope you enjoy it as much as my students have!
