This typing activity is one that will complement any typing lesson or routine you already have in place. With 10-15 minutes of individual typing, students will have an opportunity to practice the keyboarding skills they are learning in each computer class. Since this is a timed activity, the form can be filled by any skill level.
You can use this lesson as a warm-up when students arrive to class, as a closer after a typing day of practice, or as a typing center where students can log into their accounts and share their thoughts. An alternate version that includes 40 typing boxes for students can be used as a single file at a computer and students can type according to their class number.
This activity can be adjusted to use with any of your favorite writing prompts!
