In this activity, students will explore and design a digital floor plan for their own building design of their choice! They will be required to place specific objects and layout, but the rest is up to their own creativity!
Students in middle through high school can spend up to three or four 45-50 minute class periods working on this one assignment! You can extend the lesson depending on your students’ abilities.
This web-based activity presents the work as a fun, open-ended activity with certain goals to be made. It really lets those students shine with their interests and preferences and requires no extra physical materials!
The lesson is taught for use on a PC, Mac, or Chromebook since the commands will work differently on a mobile device. We offer two great options for students who wish to go deeper with their own devices. Check out the preview for more info!
