In this life-lesson on how to type correctly, we provide a full-video lesson that walks students through the importance of proper keyboarding with graphics that demonstrate posture, placement, and finger assignment to keys. This Lesson is designed for one class period, BUT will be the FOUNDATION for the rest of your students’ keyboarding lives! You will have everything you need to keep your class accountable while also being able to refer back to this video and resources. Even if you have never been consistent or great at typing, this will help guide and inform you so you can then push your students further with the reasons WHY we do what we do when we type and HOW this will benefit them in the future.

This lesson can be used as a stand-alone lesson or supplement any typing course for grades 5 and higher with any Typing website or program. All resources are organized for assigning through Google Classroom, if available. It can easily be adapted to Canvas or any online learning with minor adaptations.
